Whoa.

This is crazy... honedtly, crazy. The intro doesn't even prepare you for how nasty the bass gets. The intro is nice and calm, and the little vocal thing works really well. Then BOOM, nasty bass. I love the crazy filtering you did on there, really sounds like a bitcrushed formant or something. I also love how you added a robot voice that sounds like it's autotuned to the pitch of the song.

I've been trying out dubstep as well, and mine isn't nearly as good as this. Seriously loving it. :D

Oh my...

Very interesting. It's got a lot of nice things to it, so let me start! :D

1. The intro. Nice vocal whoosh there. The bass and the drums are very well done, the percussion is very tight, and the bass has a real funky groove to it.
2. 30 seconds. Loving the way you have that funny theremin there, even with it's odd notes, it fits in great. The percussion has some more too it here, and that is definitely a good thing!
3. The flow of the song. There isn't a single thing wrong that I can find. The lead is great, the percussion is wonderful, the bass is funky, and the extra noises and fills everywhere really bring it all home.

I am definitely downloading this one. Imagine driving around in a car with the windows down, this song blaring!

My god.

Teach me your ways, oh mighty xKore. This shit is seriously dirty! Like, dirtier than Quarl down there. You know.

Damn I love this. It keeps getting better! Nice intro, wubwub the bass comes in, the beat speeds up, slows down, keeps getting better and better. I have absolutely no criticism.

Awesomely done.

Damn your Dubstep.

I have been trying my hand at Dubstep as well, and I can't ever seem to get the sound I want. You've done a very nice job, that bass is about as dirty as... well, as dirty as Bjra. Or something.

I agree with Bjra that the bass isn't as deep, it seems too thin. It still shakes my sub, bunt it doesn't seem as full as it could be.

The main problem I come across when trying dubstep is getting the wobble to change. I normally use z3ta+ for my wobble bass, and I can't get it to change the timing on the wobble. You did a very good job, the changing wobble goes excellently with the percussion.

Overall, and excellent Dubstep piece. I look forward to more! :D

Interesting

Yes, I can totally see this on an Adult Swim bump. There are a lot of good things about this song.

1. The beginning. It's a pretty cool ambient intro, sounds a lot like a desert theme or something.
2. The hip-hop beat. It works really well with the original melodies you had put in there, and I like the way that it flowed really smoothly from each section.
3. The samples. You did a very good job with the sampling, it's very nicely done!

My one complaint would be the repetitiveness, as a song. A loop would have worked better for this, I think, but it's not bad at all.

Oh my.

That was quite the surprising change in tone at 1:04.

The beginning was very nice, an ambient and soft dnb bit without those lower frequencies. It's not often I hear something like that. The part after 1:04 is also very well done, that nice wobble bass, the higher notes and such, it all goes very well together. The percussion was not overpowering in anyway, it was all mixed and mastered very well.

You've got quite the piece of work here, Rucklo! :D

Progressive!

This is not bad at all my good friend! You've definitely got a good house concept going on here. The intro is well done, very simplistic and bouncy, a nice plucky lead. The percussion is not bad either, you did a very good job, although the clap sounds a little out of place. If you were going for a more realistic clap though, it wasn't bad. (I have been trying to find more real-sounding claps as well.)

I like when the bass comes in at around 2:00. I can never seem to get that type of sound, and you nailed it pretty well! I also like how the percussion builds up a bit at this point.

Overall, it's a very good progressive house track! (At least, I think it's progressive... :P)

Good day to you, sir.

mjattie responds:

hmm, the clap... Well, it's a mix of a realistic and a non-realistic clap :P So ya, you're right that it's not very realistic, but what would you do then? Tell me via pm :D

The bass is not so hard, (*opens reason). It's a mix of a low sine bass, a low sawtooth and a triangle or something xD

thanks for the review man, I really appreciate. (*ads rss feed of kaizerwolf to mailbox)

Oh my.

Tis very dark indeed, Mr Gravey! :D

I'm glad you sent me a PM to review this, and I'm glad I finally remembered to shoot you a review. This is great, very epic and scary. I love every bit of it, all of the orchestral parts are very well done, and none of them clash at all. The Choir was a nice touch as well, whenever I imagine something dark and scary, there is always some kind of choir in it. ;)

You did an excellent job, as always. It's amazing how professional you've become! If you ever have some free time, I would definitely be open to collaborating at some time. I would love to combine some crazy orchestra with... well, whatever it is that I do. :D

Gravey responds:

Thanks bud. Glad you stopped by to have a listen. Always good to hear from a friend.

As for collaborating, you know I'm up for that. I've tried to get something going with you several times now since our last collab. So hit me up when you have the time.

Interesting

I like it! It's got a great and soft beat to carry it along, which is really the first thing I look for. The melodies and sound effects are extremely robot-like, and it all comes together in a very calming, and certainly Menu Music, loop. My one complaint is that the bass is a bit too loud at some places, it's a little harsh on the ears.

But still, it's great! It's very hard to get the NGAP to loop songs correctly, and it seems to have worked in your favor here.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

I completely agree with you on the bass
I wasn't wearing headphones at the time so I didn't notice 'til you mentioned it
I turned it down and tried to swap it with the current version but to no avail >:C
Yeah the loopin's funny too, but for the collab, it's not NG's fault

But yeah you mentioned everything I was goin' for so mission complete
Thanks for the crits

Calming and cool

This is like a sweet mix of jazz and hip hop. You've really made your own unique style here, and let me say, it is one of my favorites of all time. This song is no exception!

I love that phaser effect you put in on that synth or whatever it is, that was amazing and gave the song a lot of feeling. The trumpet samples are great, I'm going to assume you recorded those yourself? :P

The percussion, as always, is spectacular. You've always done a good job in the past with getting some crisp and clean beats in your songs.
