Nothing special.

I'm sorry, but there is nothing special about this song. You used the same chords over and over again, nothing interesting happened to the melody, other than a weak sidechain on it. The percussion was nothing to listen in awe to either, it sounded pretty bland and the supersaws you used just completely cut out the percussion.

Make a dance song with a bit more variety please?
6/10 and 3/5.

DanceNation responds:

Ok, next song, I'll give my all!!!

Calming...

As always, such a calming piano piece. Being a fan of piano, as you apparently know, i do enjoy this! ;)

The entire song is nicely mastered, nothing too high or out of place. Some of the notes do sound a bit out of place, but they're so quiet and i can't get an exact timing on them. :P

I look forward to more my friend! Please, PM me when you submit more calming piano pieces! :D

10/10 and 5/5! Woohoo!

Whoa...

This is really awesome... for one thing, i know it's a demo for the EP, but it loops perfectly, which is awesome. :D

Anyway, this is really cool man. I like the combo of he really weird bass that plays after the percussion comes in. The softness of the piano is great, and combined with the the grungy sound of the bass, it really gives a pumping feel.

I could totally see this on the EP. :D
10/10 and 5/5! Nice!

Spacey....

The beginning gives me a real spacey vibe, sounds like something from an old Pacman game I have where your sent to space. It also has a slight, if not bigger influence of Aphex Twin. When the bass first comes in, it doesn't really seem to fit, the notes almost seem to clash... However, when the bass comes in again around 1:30, it sounds much better. The percussion is epic, some of the best i've heard...

Nice work man! I look forward to seeing this finished!

8/10 and 5/5. :D

SineRider responds:

Thanks for the review. The reason it might sound a bit out of tune is because.. it is. All the synths are slightly detuned. I'll have to edit them to be exactly in tune with each other.

Wow...

This is actually one of the cooler submissions i've heard that's been submitted to this EP. As to the user below me, i do not think it needs more bass, it works fine as is. That echo-ing bell (?) ish sound is actually really cool, but i would try Eq-ing it a bit, it gets a bit harsh at some times. Still, you did good, nothing is really out of place...

Nice! 9/10 and 5/5. Good work man, i could totally see this on the album! :D

p4c responds:

aight, gotcha. yeah, not very many ppl seem to make this style of house/electro around these parts, so im doin my best. cheers!

Amazing..

One of the best Dance/8-Bit song fusions i've ever heard. I can hear some Toad stuff in there, which always adds to the 8-bit style. :P I wonder though, what else did you use to make some of your synths? Usually i just go with 3xOsc and see where it takes me, but i'm slightly curious.

This should totally make it onto the EP, it sounds so amazing...

Great work man! 10/10 and 5/5! Yay!

Bahdshah responds:

hahah thanks so much! yeah most of the sounds were made from 3xOsc but certain ones that u heard are from a VSTs called Magical 8-bit Plug in that helps u make you own 8bit sounds and Triforce.

Have fun!, glad you liked the song!

Nothing Special.

There is nothing special about this song. The piano could have been so much better. You could have added a lot more reverb and delay to it to give it a more organic feel. The synths don't feel like anything special either. There's nothing that really jumps out from them, other than them being plain old saws. They also drown out the rest of the song. I barely hear the bass and percussion when the saws come in.

Needs work. 5/10.

Whoa...

Reminds me of something from those old racing games, Gran Turismo and stuff. It has a really great beat, it's fast paced but the kick is quiet enough that it really works. The melodies and nice and jazzy, the bass is good, and everything is really smooth! This is nice man, it would be perfect for the Electronic EP. :D

10/10 and 5/5! Nice! (If you wouldn't mind, could you check out my submission for the EP? No obligations, just asking!)

-Kaiz

KgZ responds:

Why thank you kind sir, I will give you a review momentarily.

I bought the song. :D

I've got this one and every other song from your album. To me, it sounds a lot like a theme for a city or something, lots of crime and such. The vocals are also cool, who cares if it's autotuned... it still sounds awesome!

Yay! 10/10 and 5/5! Favorited, and i don't need to download it. :P

Wow...

This is insane. I'm glad you've submitted it to the EP contest, because this song is really amazing. It's a real minimalistic trance style, a steady kick with good hats to back it up. The thing i like most about this little demo is the fact that you didn't include a clap or snare. That really brings me in, i don't feel like i'm waiting for anything new to happen... and for me, that's a good thing. You've really outdone yourself for this song!

10/10 and 5/5. Good job!

Mrmilkcarton responds:

I save the claps for the peak :D
